In Mogadishu, concluded Somali Fisheries Week, held 25th - 26th August 2025, under the theme “Safety and Quality Assurance in Fisheries.” The week-long event focused on strengthening safety standards, improving quality assurance, and boosting national fisheries production while creating opportunities to attract international investment into the sector.

The event brought together a wide range of national and international stakeholders, reaffirming Somalia’s commitment to the sustainable use and management of its vast marine resources.
